The Eastern Sierra never disappoints.
This latest adventure took us above 10,000 feet, hiking through high alpine country where every turn seemed to reveal another photograph waiting to happen.
From the deep blue waters of South Lake to the trails around Chocolate Lake and Treasure Lake, it was a few days of thin air, big landscapes, and some of the most spectacular mountain scenery California has to offer.
And, of course, Pluto came along for every mile — lakes, trails, rocks, streams and endless wilderness. He was in heaven.
A little tired, a little dusty, and already thinking about the next adventure.

About
Between Light and Shadow
Sometimes it's a mountain disappearing into morning clouds, the last light reflecting across the water, or a trail leading somewhere I haven't been before. Other times it's a city after dark, an unexpected reflection, an empty street, or the geometry of a building against a dramatic sky.
My photography moves between two worlds: landscape and urban life. They may seem very different, but what draws me to both is the same: light, atmosphere, and those brief moments when an ordinary scene becomes something more.
